Chapter 1

This is the first book of Raymond and his people called the raymondites.

1. And it came to pass, we were commanded to leave that great Salt Lake City, Utah. Now the time that Raymond had a vision was in 1982, so that means that is is now 27 years since the Lord commanded us to leave SLC and we had crossed the many waters.

2. In this new land, to which the Lord had sent us we had found all manner of strange and peculier animals, including Bavarians, Oberfranks and Oberpfalzers. Some have little resemblance to the ones we had known in the land from which we came. But we are able to grow food to sustain us like bratwurst, schnitzel, chocolate and lebkuchen.

3. In the midst of great affliction Beate, Raymond's wife did give birth to several sons and a daughter. In spite of the great tribulations Beate obviously was able to give more than enough suck to those children that did not only have to survive on raw meat.

4. Fortunately Raymond did not live in a tent.

5. After crossing the waters there were times of plenty and times of trials. Even in the times of trails and tribulations, the Lord blessed them abundantly and accompanied them throughout the journey.

6. The children of Raymond were captured from time to time, had great burdens placed on their backs, and felt like they were driven as beasts. However, occasionally they were blessed to realize that the burdens were so light that they didn't even feel them and accomplished their duties with ease.

7. After understanding their weaknesses and a repentent and conversion process the sons of Raymond had the desire to preach the gospel to their Bbrethren who had fallen away due to the traditions of their forefathers. The oldest Jared plead that his language not be confused like his schoolmates in French at high school and his wish was granted and sent to his brethren in Berlin.

8. Jared's brother was sent across the sea (english chanel) to a blessed land where tea and haggies flowed.

9. The youngest son who had no idea how to build a ship and was sent to the promised land in an iron bird, to preach the gospel to the beer thirsty people of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

10. Even the sister of Jared, Rike, had set out to explore the lands westward in hopes of find fertile hunting grounds to support her potentially growing family.

11. Inasmuch as they had dispersed in all the land and over the great waters they were no longer called raymondites but began to call themselves according to their chiefs, and were thereafter known as the Jaredites, the Richardites, the Rikedites (this name was the reason for our reformed language since gold and silver was scarce we did not have enough ore to constantly write Friederikedites, which sounded strange anyway) and the robbitites (not to be mistaken for Robby's tights).

12. After meeting with his brethren after his mission, and almost being overcome with laughter, the brother of Jared returned to the land of his missionary services and explained to the queen that he would like to live there for a time, perhaps all of his days. He was granted that wish and is out and about with his fellow servants, watching out for the robbers in the land.

13. Jared has returned from his mission, left mother and father, cleaved to his wife, enjoyed and did muliply. He and his wife Kristin have returned with their descendents to be counted amongst the raymondites. In regards to the brother of Jared and his sister, we are yet awaiting for the glorious message that they will mulitply and replenish the earth.

14. We pray that our son will be blessed with the Spirit during his missionary service, and that no whale will have to be summoned to the Great Lakes region to find him and after humbling him in the depths of Lake Michigan spit him out at his place of destination. We trust that he will have more to eat than honey and locusts. We know that the Lord will provide and hope he endures all things.
